Port Vale will face Chelsea on 4 April in the quarter finals of the FA Cup
Port Vale are enduring a difficult season in League One after they gained automatic promotion last year.
The club are likely to suffer relegation back to the fourth tier, with the team 11 points adrift of safety, albeit with two games hand on their rivals.
Jon Brady’s side have struggled for consistent results in the third division, but that hasn’t stopped them from being one of the major storylines in the FA Cup as we approach quarter final weekend.
The Valiants knocked out higher tier opposition in both the fourth and fifth round of the competition, earning them a clash against Chelsea in April.
Victories over Maldon & Tiptree, Bristol Rovers and Fleetwood Town earned the team a home clash against Bristol City, which they won 1-0 after 120 minutes.
Brady’s side made further shockwaves when they beat Premier League side Sunderland 1-0 at home on 8 March, putting them into the quarter finals.

Port Vale’s run of home games in the FA Cup in a row came to an end when they were drawn to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for 4 April.
The two sides will meet in London in a 5.15pm kick-off, with the winner earning a trip to Wembley Stadium for the semi-finals.
The League One club have confirmed that they have been allocated 6,000 tickets for their trip to face the Premier League side next month.
With Stamford Bridge's 40,000 capacity, there will be plenty of Valiant supporters at the game, assuming that this allocation will sell in full.
This is the maximum possible number of tickets that Port Vale could have received, and there will no doubt be a big demand for such a big occasion for the club.
Tickets for adults will cost £35, while U20s will have to pay £17 and U23s and seniors’ tickets have been priced at £27.
The sale of tickets already began on 23 March for supporters with over 420 priority points, with 1,600 eligible fans.
Every day since then has seen a reduction in the number of priority points needed in order to access the ability to purchase.
By 29 March, the number of priority points needed will only be five, with 15,000 supporters eligible to snap up their place at Stamford Bridge, if any remain by then.

Port Vale will go into the game as massive underdogs, particularly with their previous giant killings all coming at home.
But a trip to Stamford Bridge will still be an exciting adventure for fans, especially as they are just one win away from a place in the semi-finals and a place at Wembley.
The 1-0 victory over Sunderland will have provided even further encouragement that Brady’s side can get a result against the Blues.
Liam Rosenior’s team are currently on break due to the March international window, with their last game being a 3-0 loss to Everton in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, the Valiants have the chance to get a win on the board before their clash against Chelsea when they travel to face Wycombe Wanderers in League One action on 28 March in a 3pm kick-off.
