Jérémie Boga and Terem Moffi were the two players allegedly attacked by OGC Nice fans when the team bus pulled up outside the club’s training centre back at the end of November. The pair have not played since and the pair had begun legal proceedings to see their contracts terminated.
However, they learned that this would be a long process. Since, Terem Moffi has left Nice. The Nigerian joined FC Porto on loan until the end of the season earlier this week. The Portuguese side have a buy option worth €8m.
Boga, Nice-Matin understands, could follow Moffi out of the club before the closure of the transfer window. Whilst the Ivorian was initially reticent to leave without a contract termination, learning the potential length of this process has now made him reconsider his stance.
He is now looking to leave the club, amid interest from clubs in Italy and Russia.
