Joao Pedro has provided an update after a collision in Brazil’s game against Chile ended up with him vomiting on the pitch.
Brazil beat Chile 3-0 on Wednesday evening with both Pedro and Chelsea team-mate Estevao Willian starting the game.
Pedro was involved in the first goal as he played a key pass in the build-up, before Estevao scored his first goal for Brazil with an acrobatic finish from close range.
However, it could have been much worse for Pedro after he was involved in a concerning incident in the 18th minute of the game.
Pedro collided with Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli, which clearly caused him major discomfort, with medical staff running onto the pitch to treat him.

There were concerning scenes as Pedro was seen vomiting on the pitch, but he was declared well enough to carry on, and explained what happened after.
“I was following the action, I was running to try to catch the ball, when I looked ahead, Martinelli was there,” he said as quoted by talkSPORT.
“We collided there, and I received a blow to the stomach. I felt a little bad, but I was calm afterwards.”
He’s likely to be back leading the line for Brazil in their next World Cup qualifier away at Bolivia on Tuesday evening, and Pedro has said his best position is the modern number nine.
The Blues will be breathing a sigh of relief it’s nothing more serious with Pedro, as their reliance on the 23-year-old has increased after Liam Delap suffered an injury which could rule him out for eight weeks.

Pedro has made a brilliant start to life at Stamford Bridge, and after scoring three goals in three games at the Club World Cup, he’s followed it up with two in the first three Premier League games.
With Delap absent there will be more pressure on him to perform and stay fit, whilst youngster Marc Guiu will now provide an alternative at number nine.
