Corinthians will be without Kaio César and André Carrillo at Chapecoense on Thursday after fresh thigh discomfort. The club said Kaio has an issue in the posterior muscle of his right thigh, while Carrillo felt pain in his right adductor.

Both will be reassessed and there is no timeframe for their return.

The pair started the draw with Santos, where Kaio set up Memphis Depay’s goal. The No 37 had been sidelined since five February with a right thigh problem. Carrillo had been rested from some sessions before the derby, but featured at Vila Belmiro.

Defender Gabriel Paulista and forward Memphis Depay stayed in São Paulo for load management, and should be available to face Flamengo on Sunday.

Goalkeeper Felipe Longo remains out as he recovers from a sprain to a right elbow ligament, and left-back Hugo Farias is treating a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee after surgery.

Jesse Lingard is also unavailable, with his name yet to appear in the CBF’s Daily Information Bulletin, BID, while he awaits a work visa.

Corinthians visit Arena Condá at 21:30 for the seventh round of the Brasileirão, seeking to halt a run of five without a win.
