There is an obvious flaw with Chelsea at the moment, and that’s in attacking areas.

Estevao Willian is injured. Jamie Gittens was having a poor season and then got injured. Alejandro Garnacho is in poor form.

Even Cole Palmer hasn’t been close to his best. Liam Delap has one league goal. Pedro Neto is performing the best of the wingers, but only Joao Pedro can say he’s truly in great form.

The team’s struggles were pretty evident against Burnley, where they couldn’t get a second goal and eventually paid the price.

Rosenior stays positive about struggling attackers

Manager Liam Rosenior was asked about the form of his attacking players, and tried to stay positive on Garnacho and Gittens, who really haven’t made much of an impact under him.

“I know Jamie has not had much chance to work [with me] . Unfortunately for Jamie, he showed really promising signs. Unfortunately, he got injured against West Ham.

“Garna showed some really good things in my time. I thought his performance as a whole was very good. He scored two goals vs Arsenal really, really early in my start here. He is a very, very good player. There are a lot of tactical things as well. It is not just on those players. It is about finding the right function for the team. I have many different solutions I can use because I have such a good squad.”

In other news…

Alan Shearer has his thoughts on the game pretty clear – he thinks that Arsenal are simply too good for us, and that one thing Liam Rosenior keeps doing is going to hurt Chelsea.
