Liverpool are now sweating after an international boss revealed a hamstring injury to one of the Reds' stars. A problem for Arne Slot.
The countdown is on until the return of Premier League football. Liverpool will host Manchester United within a week in one of the biggest games of the season so far.
The Reds will look to rebound from three consecutive defeats, of course, while United seek to claim by far the biggest result of their season. Arguably of the entire Ruben Amorim tenure, in fact.
And they'll feel as though Liverpool are there for the taking, given the Reds' form. Now there are injuries to contend with, too.
Alisson Becker might be back after picking up a problem a couple of weeks ago against Galatasaray. We're crossing our fingers there.
Ibrahima Konate is another issue. He left Liverpool's last fixture against Chelsea early with a thigh issue. He's now also left France's camp early because of the same injury.
These things do come in threes, too, as Liverpool have a new problem to deal with.
Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman claims Ryan Gravenberch has a hamstring problem. In comments relayed by Voetbal International, the midfielder left the pitch early against Finland because of the complaint.
"Ryan indicated that he had some minor complaints about his hamstring,” said Koeman. “Of course, we didn't take any risk with that.”
It’s obviously positive that Koeman decided not to take any risks with Gravenberch there. Still, we’ll now have to hope that it was caught before the issue developed into an actual injury.
