ONE – Celtic’s Scottish Cup 5th Round tie against Dundee has been selected as their main match by principal broadcaster Premier Sports and scheduled for a Saturday evening, 5.30pm kick off time on 7 February…

TWO – Speaking on Go Radio’s Football Show Former Celtic midfielder Peter Grant has questioned whether Motherwell forward Tawanda Maswanhise would be a suitable signing for Celtic, pointing out that the leading scorer in the Scottish Premiership relies on his pace and at Celtic he’d have less space to run into against team’s invariably parking the bus against the Champions.

Every signing has risks Peter but Maswanhise looks like he’d be a real star in the Hoops. Tawanda Maswanhise gave an insight into the player and disagreed with Grant’s point, noting that sides are now playing deeper against Motherwell due to the quality football that the Lanarkshire side is playing this season.

THREE – Franko Kovacevic is the one that got away top goalscorer in the conference league this season and available for just €3M from NK Celje. Fair play to Robbie Keane, who clearly will know a goalscorer when he sees on. Some piece of business from the Irishman. It’s unclear whether Celtic were involved in this one or not.

FOUR – Former Celt Filip Benkovic who impressed in the Hoops on a season long loan from Leicester City, has been playing his football in Sweden after his career in England stalled due to various injury concerns. Apparently Benkovic is now on the radar of clubs in the English Championship and also in Scotland after a stand-out year on Swedish football playing for AIK. The player is apparently open to a move back to Britain.

FIVE – Celtic’s option to buy price for Tomas Cvancara has been revealed by respected German outlet Kicker who reveal that should the player impress Celtic (interm manager, assistant manager, Nicholson, Baby Desmond who knows?) then the club will have to pay Borussia Monchengladbach €8m which works out at around £6.97m.

The incoming Celtic striker is apparently in London today undergoing his medical with the Irn Bru question expected from Gerry McCulloch perhaps on Friday when manager and coaching staff, squad and the Celtic media team are back from Bologna, hopefully with smiles on their faces.
