A Bola reports that tension has surfaced in Benfica’s dressing room after Mourinho criticised several players following the draw at Casa Pia.

After the match in Rio Maior, he is understood to have confronted members of the squad, making clear his unhappiness with what happened on the pitch.

The situation is said to have sparked friction, with some players unhappy that their displays were called out publicly. He is also said to have questioned the character of Rafa Silva, Enzo Barrenechea, Georgiy Sudakov and Dodi Lukebakio.

Barrenechea, the number five, has struggled to hit expected levels and has drawn criticism from supporters. Despite that, he remains in contention to face Nacional on 12 April.
