Sports Boom reports Newcastle United have Pascal Struijk on a shortlist as a potential replacement for the often injured Sven Botman. The report adds Leeds are braced for interest and could reluctantly accept an astronomical offer, with a starting price discussed around £30m.
Leeds have indicated they are not looking to cash in this summer. However, as with any rival, a significant bid would be listened to.
Their ability to keep key players will depend on which division they are in after the season. They are 15th in the Premier League with seven games left, four points off the drop.
If they stay up, the expectation is Daniel Farke will be allowed to strengthen, with budgets under intense scrutiny. A major sale could widen what is possible.
Aston Villa and relegation-threatened Tottenham Hotspur have previously been credited with interest in Struijk, with Newcastle the latest club linked.
