Nice 0-1 Braga player ratings: Ndombele not ready, Bard error proves costly | OneFootball

Nice slipped to a sixth straight Europa League defeat, losing 0-1 to Braga on Thursday. Tanguy Ndombele and Melvin Bard were among those singled out.

According to L'Équipe, Ndombele earned 3/10 on his first start of the season, after his cameo in Sunday’s 0-1 loss to Angers. He looked short of fitness, searching for a second wind after about 20 minutes and repeatedly conceding possession.

Bard also received 3/10. His poorly judged pass into the middle towards Ndombele led to Braga’s winner on 28 minutes.

Kojo Peprah Oppong was marked 3/10, often dragged out by El Ouazzani’s movement in the first half and rarely dominant in duels. Under pressure on the ball, he misplaced several passes.

Salis Abdul Samed scored 3/10 from the holding role but struggled to influence play. Even in possession he found it hard to play forward, with large gaps ahead of him.

Tiago Gouveia, again underwhelming, was used at right-back and also received 3/10. He struggled to combine on the ball and never really showed his counter-attacking threat.

Mohamed-Ali Cho, on at 69 minutes for Nguene and not rated, had three sights of goal. He miscontrolled when released at 74, wasted a counter at 80, then sent his 82nd-minute effort off target.
