Christopher Nkunku appears to have put an end to the rumors surrounding his future.
Despite Roma’s interest, driven by Gian Piero Gasperini’s fondness for the player, the French striker has expressed his desire to remain in Milan.
As he left the training ground, when asked by some Rossoneri fans whether he would stay, the 1997-born striker responded with a firm “Yes, yes,” effectively dismissing the possibility of a move to the capital.
The player’s position appears firm: Nkunku intends to play his cards under Massimiliano Allegri, despite Mateta’s imminent arrival at AC Milan suggesting a reduction in playing time.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the former Leipzig player isn’t interested in switching clubs this transfer window, effectively nipping the Giallorossi’s recent move in the bud.
With time running out, the Giallorossi management is intensifying contact with Bryan Zaragoza, a profile that fits Gasperini’s tactical needs.
Sporting director Massara is now working to finalize the deal with Bayern Munich and Celta Vigo, bringing the Spanish winger to Trigoria before the final whistle.
