Today, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gian Piero Gasperini will meet with Ryan Friedkin to discuss the feasibility of a deal for AC Milan striker Nkunku.
The Mateta deal is nearing completion, and if it were to be finalized, the Rossoneri could sell the Frenchman, but the transaction would be expensive.
Gasperini already expressed interest in Nkunku last summer and will now ask the club’s management to make an effort to bring the player to the capital.
If the deal were to materialize, it would be a significant reinforcement for the attacking team, but negotiations will be complicated due to AC Milan’s high costs.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have once again offered Joshua Zirkzee to Roma, a Dutch striker highly regarded by the Giallorossi management. Roma, however, are taking their time to determine their next move.
According to reports, sporting director Frederic Massara is only willing to sign Zirkzee on loan with an option to buy.
The Giallorossi are also monitoring Ferguson’s situation, as he could be sent back to Brighton, and are also dealing with Bologna’s interest in the Dutchman.
