Leeds United were among 20 Premier League clubs to back a unanimous decision to keep the £30 away ticket cap for a further two seasons.
The Premier League said in a statement that shareholders extended the cap, ensuring adult away tickets are not priced above £30. It added the move will take the policy to 12 consecutive seasons and that away attendances have risen from 82% to 91% since 2016. The league also noted the additional costs involved in travelling to matches.
The cap has been in place for the last 10 Premier League seasons and ensures adult away tickets are never priced above £30. Leeds already had a cap of the same value in the 2024/25 Championship, in line with top-flight policy.
In 2023/24, Elland Road chiefs pursued a reciprocal pricing offer to Championship rivals to keep costs down. Many accepted, though Coventry City were among those to oppose it.
If Leeds remain in the Premier League beyond the summer, the extension means travelling supporters would be protected from matchday ticket price rises.
