It has been reported recently that Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as a secret dark horse in the race to sign Pedro Fernandez, better known as Dro.
The young midfielder, who is regarded as one of the best talents to come out of La Masia in recent times, has made the shocking decision to leave Barcelona and start a new chapter elsewhere.
Immediately after the announcement, the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Man City and Chelsea have been linked with a move for Dro. But it is PSG who are serious about the deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian transfer expert has confirmed that PSG are working on the deal to sign Dro and are serious about the prospect of acquiring his services.
The French giants have a huge advantage in their hands, as both Dro and manager Luis Enrique are represented by the same agent, Ivan de la Pena.

Romano has also confirmed earlier reports that Dro has confirmed to the players in the Barcelona dressing room that he is indeed joining PSG.
However, nothing is set in stone yet, and the Parisian club are still yet to reach an agreement with the player.
One would expect Enrique to play a key role in this operation, as someone who knows La Masia inside out.
This won’t be the first time PSG are looking to poach a generational Barcelona talent, as the club in the past had also brought in Xavi Simons. The Dutchman’s career at PSG, though, didn’t really pan out and he is currently plying his trade for Tottenham.
As for Dro, the coming days could be crucial as PSG look to get ahead of other entities in the race to sign the Barcelona prodigy.
