Ron Gourlay has addressed several shortcomings from last summer, with Umar Sadiq the first addition to fill the centre-forward role.

According to Superdeporte, Sadiq’s move drew on a negotiation with Real Sociedad that had been set up but left unsigned at the last minute.

In central defence, absences deepened a pre-existing need, and Unai Núñez has been brought in.

Guido arrives aiming to claim a starting place quickly and, in doing so, to bolster his chances with Argentina for the 2026 World Cup.

No signing has arrived for right-back in either the summer or January, so Valencia will wait for the next window and lean on Foulquier and the injured Thierry in the meantime.

Looking ahead, the club have secured future additions such as Haas and Dieng.
