Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri is placing the final touches on his team’s preparations for the encounter against Como, but Matias Vecino remains a doubt.
The Biancocelesti have limited options in midfield, as Toma Basic has yet to recover from injury. Nicolo Rovella finally made his much-anticipated comeback off the bench, but he’s still not fit enough to start from the first minute. Moreover, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru won’t be available in time for Monday’s clash after playing in Saturday’s contest between Nigeria and Egypt for the African Cup of Nations’ bronze medal.
In recent days, it has been revealed that Vecino suffered a slight knock at Formello, which forced him to miss some training sessions. According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, the Uruguayan’s availability remains uncertain, and he will likely start on the bench, with Reda Belahyane getting the nod alongside Danilo Cataldi and Kenneth Taylor in the middle of the park.

The lineup will also witness the return of club captain Mattia Zaccagni, who missed the trip to Verona due to a yellow-card suspension. Tijjani Noslin and Matteo Cancellieri should complete the attacking trident, warding off competition from Petar Ratkov and Gustav Isaksen.
The backline should remain unchanged, with Adam Marusic and Luca Pellegrini flanking Mario Gila and Alessio Romagnoli. Finally, Ivan Provedel will get the nod between the posts as usual, keeping Christos Mandas on the bench, in what could be the Greek’s final appearance in the Lazio dugout before his potential transfer to Bournemouth.
Lazio Probable XI (4-3-3): Provedel; Marusic, Gila, Romagnoli, Gila, Pellegrini; Belahyane, Cataldi, Taylor; Cancellieri, Ratkov, Zaccagni.
