Sunderland and newly promoted Hull City are tracking Charleroi midfielder Yacine Titraoui as he heads into World Cup duty with Algeria.
According to Maghreb Foot, a source close to the player says both clubs hold strong interest, Titraoui dreams of playing in the Premier League and is focused on the tournament. The source added that Charleroi will not discuss his future until after he features, and that an eye-catching World Cup could drive his fee sharply higher.
Sunderland are finalising plans for the summer window to bolster Regis Le Bris’ squad after the former Lorient boss guided the club into European competition for just the second time in their history.
Titraoui caught the eye in Belgium last season, prompting links with Wearside, while Hull are also keen on the midfielder.
Any transfer would hinge on Charleroi’s stance and how his World Cup campaign unfolds in the coming weeks.
