Sunderland and Premier League newcomers Hull City have been cautioned that any move for Charleroi midfielder Yacine Titraoui could grow expensive as he heads to the World Cup with Algeria.
According to Maghreb Foot, both clubs are very interested in the midfielder, and a source close to him says he dreams of the Premier League and is focused on the tournament. The source added that Charleroi will not comment on his future before the World Cup and that his price could explode if he shines.
Sunderland are finalising summer plans to strengthen Regis Le Bris’ squad after the former Lorient manager led the club into European competition for only the second time in their history.
Titraoui impressed in Belgium last season and is preparing to face Jordan, Austria and Argentina over the next three weeks.
Hull and Sunderland have been linked with the midfielder as they assess options for the window, but any negotiations appear likely to hinge on his World Cup performances and Charleroi’s stance.
