Tarik Muharemovic aims to add goals for Leeds after £34m switch | OneFootball

Leeds United unveiled 23-year-old defender Tarik Muharemovic last week after a £34m move from Sassuolo, their second addition of the summer. His arrival came two weeks after Pascal Struijk left for Brighton in a £20m deal.

"Yes, I scored two goals. Obviously I love to score goals so I am trying always - corners, maybe even sometimes trying to shoot. But I love to score." He was speaking to LUTV.

He is set to bolster a back line that conceded 56 goals in 38 league games last season, though Leeds kept clean sheets in four of their final nine to secure top-flight survival and 14th place.

He registered two goals and one assist in Serie A in 2025-26.

"I was born in Slovenia, lived my whole life in Austria and then I moved the first time out of home was Italy. I lived there for five years. But I love it. That's my job and I am really happy to be now in England."
