Thomas Lisboa has left Corinthians to join Tartu JK Tammeka, who play in Estonia’s top flight. The move was confirmed in the early hours of Friday.

According to Meu Timao, the 21-year-old, born in 2005, has signed a three-year contract. He had been tied to Corinthians until December 2026 after renewing in October, and it is still being determined whether the club retained any economic rights in the deal.

Lisboa was no longer in Corinthians’ plans after ageing out of the academy. He had been looked at by head coach Dorival Júnior but did not feature for the senior side. He captained Timãozinho in the most recent Copinha, where they went out to Guarani in the second round.

Lisboa views passing and build-up as his strongest attributes and is open to learning to improve. His first impressions of Tartu were very positive and he hopes to help the team deliver a strong season for supporters.

Across the under-17 and under-20 sides, he made 96 appearances and scored three goals, and he was part of Corinthians’ 2024 Copinha-winning squad. Among the 2005 generation, his exit follows centre-back Fernando Vera’s move to Hungary’s ZTE.
