In a recent report, Record revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to land Sporting CP attacker Francisco Trincao. It has been mentioned that Spurs are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Portuguese talent later this year.

Trincao’s Impressive Form In North London

Trincao enjoyed a good run of form at the Portuguese club as he put in a run of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 26-year-old found the back of the net 13 times and earned 18 assists in 54 matches for Sporting last season on all fronts.

The Portuguese sensation is among the best playmakers in Liga Portugal. Hence, Spurs would do well to get him on board this off-season.

His current contract at the Portuguese club will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Tottenham to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Is Trincao A Good Option For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi?

Trincao is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with the ball in the final third. He has got the vision to engineer a few inviting chances in the final third.

The Portuguese sensation can shoot the ball with power from long range. Trincao can even chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. The talented playmaker is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also serve as a winger on either flank if told to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to snap him up this summer.

We can expect Trincao to bring more firepower to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi’s attack. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular starting spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.

At 26, Trincao has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent option for Spurs to pursue later this year. He will also help Tottenham challenge across all competitions over the next few years. However, De Zerbi has to give him some time to adjust to life in England before he can unlock the best out of him at the London club.
