ChatGPT has predicted the score of Wolves' opening five Championship fixtures after the schedule release
Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the midst of preparing for their first season back in the Championship since 2018, with the Old Gold having made some significant moves already, as they learn their fixture list for the campaign.
It's already been an active summer at Molineux for Wolves following relegation from the Premier League, with the Black Country outfit doing everything they can to ensure their time outside the top-flight is as short as possible.
Both Kieran Trippier, 35, and Raul Jimenez, 35, have joined the club, and though they may have a combined age of 70, their experience and overwhelming talent will no doubt be of huge benefit to incoming Portuguese boss Cesar Peixoto.
Peixoto, 46, has spent his entire coaching career in his native Portugal before his move to Wolves, most recently guiding Gil Vicente to a sixth-placed finish in the top-flight, and makes the move to Molineux following the dismissal of Rob Edwards.
The work almost certainly isn't done there by any stretch of the imagination, and as the Old Gold learn their second-tier fixtures for the campaign, Football League World has asked AI chatbot ChatGPT to predict the scores in their opening five games.

The 2026/27 Championship fixture schedule has been released, and as for Wolves, they will be heading into the bulk of their games with a huge degree of confidence.
A home clash with Blackburn Rovers commences their return to the second-tier, as a trip to Pride Park rounds out the campaign, by which point, Wolves supporters will be hoping promotion has long been secured. Other notable fixtures include Cardiff City at home on Halloween, Swansea City at home on Boxing Day, and Millwall away on New Year's Day.
With Blackburn travelling to Molineux in their opening clash, an away trip to Preston North End follows, with Stoke City at home, West Ham United away, and Birmingham City rounding out their opening five.
FLW asked AI chatbot ChatGPT to predict the scores in these fixtures, in which it said:
Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 Blackburn Rovers
Preston North End 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-1 Stoke City
West Ham United 2-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Birmingham City 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers
According to ChatGPT, Wolves will pick up ten points from a possible 15 to open the campaign, which is by no means a bad tally to have, with each of those fixtures presenting their own unique and unforeseen challenges.
Blackburn will be keen to get off to a solid start after narrowly surviving relegation last season. Preston made Deepdale a fortress last campaign, with few top sides taking anything away from there. Stoke will hope to be revitalised under Mark Robins, West Ham were relegated alongside Wolves, and Birmingham have spent over £50 million across the past couple of campaigns.
Certainly, those at Molineux will be hoping for 15 from a possible 15 to begin what they hope will be a historic year for the club. AI predicts a strong start for the Black Country outfit, albeit not as strong as supporters may have hoped for.

Having replaced Edwards in the dugout in the Black Country, Peixoto will be under increased pressure from the very beginning to start life strongly at Wolves.
The Old Gold have taken a gamble in replacing Edwards, who previously guided Luton Town to the top flight just a few years ago, with a coach who has never managed in the country before.
The move echoes that of Nuno Espirito Santo's some nine years ago now, as Wolves supporters will be hoping for a similar result under the 46-year-old to that they endured under the current West Ham boss.
As the beginning of the next campaign edges ever closer, preparations at Molineux ramp up as Wolves learn their schedule.
