Wolves executives acknowledged mistakes in a meeting with the Wolves 1877 Supporters' Trust, amid a season in which relegation is viewed as likely.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, interim chairman Nathan Shi, technical director Matt Jackson and senior officials discussed the Trust's manifesto for change covering growth, accountability, board expertise, stadium and academy.

The Trust called the exchange constructive but remains seriously concerned about strategic direction and intends to hold leadership to account.

Senior figures accepted errors in football management decisions, recruitment and sales, and believe the appointments of Rob Edwards and Jackson, plus extra backroom staff, will bring a period of stability.

Shi has committed to a full strategic review and to produce a new vision and strategy for Guo Guangchang, the Fosun International chairman, by the end of this season or the start of next.

Published before Jeff Shi stepped down as chairman, the manifesto sits alongside changes that the Trust says may yield meaningful reform, while the Wolves Fan Alliance will maintain pressure with further meetings this week.

Assurances included no immediate intention by Fosun to sell and plans to open talks with stakeholders, including the City Council, on Molineux refurbishment or redevelopment, focusing on the Steve Bull Stand, and consideration of a supporter working group.

The club will also upgrade the training ground to retain Class one Academy status, and any men's relegation would not affect changes for the women's team if they are promoted.
