Wolves supporters unveiled fresh anti-Fosun banners and targeted former chairman Jeff Shi before Sunday’s meeting with Fulham at Molineux, their final Premier League home game after relegation was confirmed last month.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, Wolves’ top-flight stay officially ends next week away at Burnley, closing a campaign marked by regular protests over Fosun’s stewardship.
Two large banners were displayed ahead of the final home outing. One reprised anti-Fosun messaging alongside a Taiwan flag, a nod to political tension with China.
The other referenced Shi’s 2024 column, which said fans pursuing trophies or consistent European football might find Wolves not an ideal choice. Supporters responded with a sarcastic thanks to Jeff and Fosun and warned they were watching every move.
Protests have grown after the club, once firmly established in the Premier League, repeatedly sold leading players. Poor recruitment and the sale of prized assets have ultimately ended their eight-year stay in the top flight.
The displays followed a tense fans’ forum at Molineux where manager Rob Edwards, new chairman Nathan Shi and sporting director Matt Jackson fielded questions.
