Wolves have confirmed that Brazilian midfielder Andre has signed a new four-year contract to 2030, committing his future despite relegation.

Chairman Nathan Shi said talks had been ongoing for months and that Andre was determined to stay, adding that he believes in the project and the push to return to the Premier League as soon as possible.

Andre joined from Fluminense for £18.5m in 2024 and has made 74 appearances in all competitions. He has been capped eight times for his country during his time at Wolves and scored the winner against Liverpool in March.

Relegation was confirmed last month, and a series of departures had been anticipated this summer. Joao Gomes looks certain to leave, and many expected Andre to move on too.

Instead, the 24-year-old’s contract includes an option of a further year.
