Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho has been opening up on his feelings towards former club Manchester United.
The comments came after Garnacho enjoyed his first start as a Chelsea player last night playing in the 1-0 win over Benfica in the Champions League.
Garnacho was actually heavily involved in the only goal of the night, making the run in behind to meet a Pedro Neto cross, firing it back across goal to force the own goal. He will be quite pleased with his overall performance even though it wasn’t exactly a standout one as such.
The game itself of course saw the return of Jose Mourinho back to Stamford Bridge once again, and he was up to his old tricks running up and down that same touchline that he has ran up and down many times before, but this time for different reasons.
Mourinho has also managed United of course, although Garnacho was not a player who played under him there.
Either way, he made a decision to move on from United this summer after what was a very toxic time for him at the club.

“I’ve got nothing bad to say about my old club Manchester United, just bad moments in life, I’m very happy to be here now, play in this competition and get 3 points today.”
It’s early days for Garnacho at Chelsea of course and he is just finding his feet at his new club. I think he might get some consistent starts very soon now and we can only hope that he finds some good form in Chelsea blue.
