How do you cheer yourself up after a bad result? With a transfer rumour of course.
It’s well established that Chelsea won’t be spending big on any first team players in January, but just like last year there will be some shuffling of loans, and maybe the addition of a young talent or two.

Mohamed Zongo celebrates a goal with Burkina Faso.
The latest to be mentioned is Mohamed Zongo. The latest “wonderkid” has been a target for Manchester United for a while, and now Chelsea are joining the chase, according to CaughtOffside.
They say that the Blues are in a “strong position”, despite Man U, Villareal and Anderlecht having had a head start in the case for the 16 year old.
The wonderkid shone at the recent Under-17 World Cup with Burkina Faso, where his two goals helped the unfancied African side reach the quarter finals. An attacking midfielder, capable of playing wider, he would seem a perfect addition to join the BlueCo group, starting with Strasbourg and potentially coming to Chelsea in the future.
It would be a good few years before he’s even in consideration to join the first team picture, but that’s just he kind of model we’re employing right now as we aim to skip European football’s middle-men clubs.
Cole Palmer’s appearance in the second half as a sub was one of the few positives from the game last night, and it also means Enzo Maresca can shuffle his pack in attack a little. Two out of form players are at risk.
The Athletic have pointed out that, for all of this season’s positive progress, Chelsea are actually worse off in the two most important categories in the Premier League table compared to a year ago.
