Toulouse will welcome back several key players, including Djibril Sidibé and Cristian Casseres, for the visit of Nice on Saturday at 19:00.

After an injury-hit start to the year, the squad has been bolstered in recent days, easing coach Carles Martinez Novell’s preparations. According to L'Équipe, he said everyone is physically and mentally ready apart from Francis (Abu) and Emersonn, calling it good news for the group.

Abu continues his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury and Emersonn serves the second match of his ban. Sidibé, who took a head knock late in the 0-3 defeat to Lens on 2 January, followed concussion protocol in full, passed the required tests and, at 33, is available again.

Casseres did not feature at Angers in the Coupe de France last Saturday, a 1-1 draw decided 6-5 on penalties, as he was deemed not ready. The 25-year-old midfielder is now in a position to face Nice.

Frank Magri, back from the Africa Cup of Nations, plus Rasmus Nicolaisen, calf, and Alexis Vossah, hamstring, should also rejoin the squad. There is still doubt over Dayann Methalie, the 19-year-old left-back who resumed running early this week after a minor knee procedure carried out as a precaution. His return is not being rushed, with Brest on 25 January viewed as a likelier target.
