Grêmio ‘have opened talks’ for Gustavo Scarpa from Atlético-MG | OneFootball

According to ESPN, Grêmio have opened talks to sign midfielder Gustavo Scarpa from Atlético-MG. The club could submit an official offer in the coming days, and discussions remain at an early stage.

Scarpa is among the potential exits in the next transfer window, and there is competition from other Brazilian clubs.

São Paulo and Fluminense have recently sought information on his situation at Atlético-MG.

The initial asking price is approximately 4.5 million dollars, about R$ 24.9 million at current rates. His salary is among the highest in Atlético-MG’s current squad.

The 31-year-old is under contract until December 2027. One factor that could make him view a move favourably is his relationship with coach Jorge Sampaoli.

This season he has played 63 games, scoring three goals and providing 12 assists. He joined Atlético-MG in 2024 after a €5 million move, around R$ 33 million, from Nottingham Forest of England.
