The Bavarians shelled out €50 million to trigger the 29-year-old’s release clause in 2023.

Despite tying the South Korean center-back to a contract until 2028, the German giants could sever ties with the player this summer.

Indeed, Kim’s high salary could be a potential stumbling block for his return to Serie A amid interest from several Italian clubs.

Bayern Munich Looking to Sell Kim Min-jae Amid Inter Milan Interest

Kim Min-jae emerged as a potential target for AC Milan, Inter, and Juventus in the January transfer window.

However, the player’s substantial wages deterred the interested clubs from making a formal offer.

Furthermore, it remains uncertain whether any suitors will be willing to meet Kim’s salary demands in the upcoming transfer window.

Inter’s interest appears to be genuine, yet the Nerazzurri would ideally sign the Bayern ace on loan with an option to buy.

Meanwhile, it’s hard to envisage the Allianz Arena giants accepting such a proposal.
