Robbie Keane is set to resign as Ferencvaros head coach after a second-placed finish, according to ExpressAndStar.com. The former Wolves striker has led the Budapest club for 15 months.
He delivered the league title in 2024/25. The 45-year-old took charge in January 2025 after success in Israel.
Keane has been listed as a frontrunner to take over at former club Celtic this summer. Martin O’Neill guided the Hoops to a final-day title last weekend as they pipped Hearts, though it is unclear if the 74-year-old will remain in charge beyond the summer.
He has also been linked with the hotseat at Slovakia champions Slovan Bratislava.
The former Republic of Ireland hero scored 16 goals in 19 games during a 2009/10 loan at Celtic.
His managerial career has taken him to India, Israel and Hungary. He briefly served as player-manager at the now dissolved ATK in 2018, then led Maccabi Tel Aviv from June 2023 to June 2024, winning the league and Israeli Cup.
He has coached with Ireland at international level, and in England with Middlesbrough and Leeds.
A Molineux academy graduate, he scored 29 times in 87 games for Wolves before a £6million move to Coventry, then a British record for a teenager.
