Nigeria U20 head coach Aliyu Zubairu has been forced to make a last-minute change to his squad for the 2025 U20 World Cup.
Marvelous Freedom suffered a knee injury during training and has been ruled out of the tournament. He will be replaced by Haruna Aliyu, according to Completesports.
The Wikki Tourists player will join the squad this Friday in Chile to gear up for the big tournament.
The seven-time African champions will compete in Group B alongside Norway, Colombia, and Saudi Arabia. They kick off their campaign next Monday against the Scandinavian side.
