Given their current midfield injury crisis, Watford will have been glad to pick up a comfortable three points away at Huddersfield Town last weekend.
With Tom Dele-Bashiru and new signing Leandro Bacuna in the centre of the park, the Hornets ran out 2-0 winners in Yorkshire thanks to a brace from star attacker Joao Pedro.
Slaven Bilic will be hoping for more of the same on Boxing Day when the Hornets host Millwall in action at Vicarage Road.
When the two sides met at The Den in October, Millwall ran out convincing winners, so Slaven Bilic certainly has a job on his hands to ensure that does not happen again.
With that said, below, we’ve attempted to predict the XI that the Croatian could choose to line his Watford side up with come the Boxing Day clash.
With no fresh injury concerns, but no returnees either, we think that Bilic could name an unchanged side for the Millwall match.
That would see Daniel Bachmann keep his place in goal, with a a back four in front of him consisting of Hassane Kamara, Craig Cathcart, Christian Kabasele and Jeremy Ngakia.
In central midfield, with injuries rife, it is highly likely we could see both Tom Dele-Bashiru and Leandro Bacuna keep their respective places in the centre of the park.
In the number 10 role, Joao Pedro is the likely candidate, with Ismaila Sarr wide left, and Ken Sema the same on the right.
That leaves Keinan Davis tasked with leading the line for the Hornets in this festive Championship clash.
