Abraham returns to Villa: €21m agreement reached as Unai Emery boosts attack for Premier League and Europe push

Aston Villa have reached an agreement to sign Tammy Abraham for a fee in the region of £18m.
The Villans have been in negotiations with Turkish side Besitkas over a deal to re-sign their former loanee.
Abraham joined Besiktas on loan from AS Roma in the summer and has met the requirements to trigger the obligation to make the move permanent. The 28-year-old has scored 13 goals in 26 games for the Turkish Süper Lig side this season.
Villa have now reached an agreement to sign Abraham for an initial fee of €21m (£18.2m) plus add-ons. As part of the deal, Yasin Özcan will head to Besiktas fromAston Villa in part exchange. The 19-year-old defender had been on loan at Belgian side Anderlecht this season.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Aston Villa officials are in Turkey to conclude the deal. Abraham had been the club's top target to add depth to their forward line and will provide competition and cover for Ollie Watkins.
The 11-cap England international previously the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Villa Park, where he scored 26 goals in 40 appearances to help Villa to promotion from the Championship.
Abraham is set to arrive to bolster the club's squad, as Unai Emery's team compete on multiple fronts. Villa are third in thePremier League table and have progressed to the Europa League's Round of 16 with a game to spare.
The forward will return to English football four-and-a-half years after leavingChelsea for AS Roma in a £34m deal. He won the Europa Conference League with Roma in his debut campaign and spent time on loan at AC Milan last season, prior to his switch to Besiktas.
Abraham, who has not been capped by England since 2022, will hope aPremier League return can boost his hopes of making the Three Lions' World Cup squad. He previously played for England manager Thomas Tuchel at .
