Leeds United are preparing a pivotal summer of renewals, with Adam Underwood preparing four new contracts, while Lukas Nmecha is currently overlooked.

TeamTalk reports that extensions are being readied for Ethan Ampadu, the captain, Pascal Struijk, Ilia Gruev and Brenden Aaronson. All four are tied to Elland Road until 2027, leaving roughly 18 months on their deals.

Nmecha, a German centre-forward who signed as a free agent, has scored six Premier League goals. He joined on a two-year contract and, as things stand, talks over an extension have not begun, so his situation remains uncertain.

That stance has raised eyebrows, given his impact. His finishing has endeared him to supporters, and many would argue he merits inclusion in the renewal plans.

Leeds aim to consolidate progress under Daniel Farke, with the side sitting comfortably clear of the drop zone. While the club are likely to pursue a striker this summer after interest in Jorgen Strand Larsen, keeping Nmecha makes more sense than allowing him to enter the final 12 months of his deal.
