Adrián Dolz Martínez has been promoted to Primera Federación, becoming Castellón province’s highest-ranked referee in the national pyramid.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the 34-year-old secures the biggest step of his career after five consecutive seasons as an assistant in Segunda Federación.

Born in Castelló on 12 November 1991, Dolz grew up in sport. He played in Racing de Castelló’s youth ranks, then switched to futsal with the storied Playas de Castellón through his junior years. He later chose to hang up his boots and take up refereeing.

He joined the referees’ technical committee in the 2006/2007 season. Nearly two decades of matches, travel, physical preparation and study have followed.

His rise took him to Segunda Federación as an assistant, and this latest elevation now places him on the cusp of professional football.

Castellón’s presence spans the national ladder. In Segunda Federación, principal referees include Borja Guijarro Colomer and Iván Sánchez Agramunt, the latter newly promoted after last season.

Assistant referees at that level are Iván Vidal García and Raúl Luján Foches, the latter arriving from the Andalusian committee.

In Tercera Federación, the province will field match officials Pablo García Archilés, Alberto Gabriel Cornelles Vicente and Marc Roda Lluch. Cornelles Vicente and Roda Lluch also belong to the Baix Maestrat subdelegation, which retains a notable footprint in the provincial set-up.
