Ismael Saibari has been officially introduced by FC Bayern. The new signing took questions from the media for the first time today, Friday, during a press conference, where he spoke about his first few days in Munich, his role with the record champions, and his physical condition.

Following his move to FC Bayern, the 25-year-old’s injury has been a topic of discussion recently. The Moroccan national team player suffered a torn muscle fiber during the World Cup.

As a result, he initially had to follow an individualized training regimen and worked at Säbener Straße on his return to the training field while most of the team was on their Asian tour.

However, there is now cause for hope regarding the attacking player. Saibari has recently been able to take his first steps back into team training. At his introductory press conference, Saibari spoke for the first time about his injury and his current fitness level: “I’ve recovered well and am now fully back in training with the team,” said the 25-year-old.

„My teammates have welcomed me very warmly; everyone is very nice to me, including the staff,“ Saibari added.

Saibari prefers to play as a number 10

With his move to Munich, a new chapter begins for Saibari. At FC Bayern, the attacking player is expected to bring additional quality and versatility to the offense. The 25-year-old can play in various positions, giving Vincent Kompany another option for the offense.

“My favorite position is the number 10 spot—everyone knows that. But I can play in different positions; you’re always switching around during the game anyway. I can also play on the wing and a bit deeper,” Saibari explained.

Appearance against Leipzig still in doubt

Tomorrow, Saturday, Saibari could take the field for the first time for the record champions in the match against RB Leipzig. However, it is not yet certain whether the 25-year-old will be available to play.

„I still need to talk to the medical staff, and then we’ll see,“ Saibari said ahead of the match against Leipzig.
