Agyemang brace lifts Derby to 12th | OneFootball

Derby County beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 at Hillsborough to rise from 16th to 12th in the Championship.

In the 32nd minute, Patrick Agyemang swept in from the left after Bobby Clark found him to break the deadlock.

After the restart, Liam Thompson doubled the lead from close range (57.), turning in Matthew Clarke's set-piece delivery.

The Owls introduced George Brown and Nathaniel Chalobah, but Agyemang struck again moments later (62.) to seal it.

Jacob Zetterström saved from Svante Ingelsson during a rare opening for the hosts later in the half. Pierce Charles then denied Agyemang, Andreas Weimann and Kayden Jackson to limit the damage.

Derby registered 15 attempts, with seven on target. The Owls had 60.4% possession but produced only three efforts, one on target.

Next, the Rams host Portsmouth. The Owls visit Ipswich Town.
