Sheffield Wednesday players will be fined £200 if they miss the Christmas party later this year.
An image has been shared showing the list of fines that Sheffield Wednesday players could incur this season, with individuals set to be hit with a £200 penalty if they don’t attend the Christmas party.
It has been a hectic few months for the Owls, who finally welcomed new owners Arise Capital Partners in May after a lengthy process.
Even with relegation, the arrival of the US group was the main priority for Wednesday, as there had been fears about the future of the club after they entered administration following the mismanagement of Dejphon Chansiri.

Therefore, the new owners inherited a squad in a mess, as Wednesday were reliant on academy players and free transfers last season in the Championship.
And, whilst they aren’t able to splash the cash this summer, they have made some big moves in the market, securing several high-profile additions, with Louie Barry, Callum Slattery and Barry Bannan among the many new recruits.
So, patience is going to be required as Henrik Pedersen looks to find the right formula with what is essentially a new squad, and there have been mixed early signs.
After beating Bolton in the League Cup, Wednesday won their league opener at Leyton Orient, but they lost 1-0 to Bradford at Hillsborough on Thursday night.
Even though Pedersen needs to have enough quality in the squad, he must also build a team spirit within the group, and senior figures like Liam Palmer and Bannan will be key to developing that.
And, in a rare insight into the dressing room, an image has been shared on social media by Owls Extra that shows the fine list for the squad this season.
Interestingly, the biggest fine a player can get is £200, which will be handed out to those who don’t attend the Christmas party, although those with a ‘valid’ reason will not need to pay.

Other fines will be handed out for plenty of ‘offences’, which range from £10 for not wearing flip-flops in the shower, to being late for training, which will be £100.
It’s also said that anyone who falls foul of the rules on a matchday will see their fine doubled.
This is interesting to see, and obviously it’s something that happens at football clubs up and down the country, but you don’t always see how much the fines are.
Of course, the money is minor to the players in the bigger picture, but having something like this in place can help build a positive atmosphere in the dressing room if all the group gets behind it.
As outlined above, the senior players will be massive in creating that environment, and it’s particularly important for Wednesday when you consider how many new faces have arrived at Hillsborough this summer.
That was a necessity, but it means the fans need to show patience as the group builds an understanding, both on and off the pitch.
The best way to create a positive atmosphere is by winning games, and the Owls will hope to get back on track when they face Wolves in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
