According to ESPN and various sources, Ajax are on the verge of signing Ukrainian international winger Victor Tsygankov from Girona. Tsygankov is set to follow Michel, who managed Girona previously, to Ajax for a few million euros. Having lost Mika Godts to PSG this summer, Ajax were keen to add another winger and have landed on the 28-year-old from Girona.
Tsygankov began his career in Ukraine with Dynamo Kyiv, playing 236 games for the club and scoring 94 goals. In the winter transfer window of the 2022/2023 season he left Dynamo Kyiv to join Girona, who were then in La Liga. Over the course of three and a half seasons in Spain, Tsygankov played 120 games for the side, scoring 20 goals. He had one of his better seasons during the 2025/2026 campaign, even if Girona ended up being relegated. In 34 games he scored seven goals and provided five assists.
The winger has also been capped on 67 occasions by the Ukrainian national team, scoring 14 goals.
