Amazonas have had their final transfer ban lifted and begun registering reinforcements for the Série C run-in, but forward Rossi will not feature in the last round due to family issues.
According to Globo.com, eight players have been added to the CBF BID, namely Geuvânio, Ronan, Pará, Julio Simas, right-back Cicinho, goalkeeper Victor Lube, centre-back Joilson and academy prospect Ricardo.
Rossi, formerly of Vasco and Paysandu, will not be registered and is out of the decisive meeting with Ypiranga-RS. He had trained with the squad for about two months and has already left Manaus.
His most recent club was Paysandu, where he finished last season as top scorer with 12 goals. Physical issues disrupted his 2025 Série B campaign, limiting him to 17 appearances, 13 of them starts, across 38 rounds.
Before that he featured for Vasco in 2023 and 2024, unable to replicate his standout 2019 form. In total he played 72 matches and scored five goals for the Rio club.
Without him, Amazonas continue their push for the second phase. They are unbeaten in four, with two wins and two draws, and sit 12th on 25 points, two behind Ferroviária in 8th.
To reach the promotion quadrangular, they must beat Ypiranga-RS and hope Guarani, Ferroviária, Maranhão, Maringá and Floresta drop points. All final-round fixtures are simultaneous on Saturday 29, with Amazonas v Ypiranga-RS at 17:00 Brasília time at Estádio Carlos Zamith, Manaus.
