Former Barcelona star Ansu Fati has this week moved to send a message of appreciation the way of the Blaugrana.
This of course comes fresh off the 22-year-old sealing his latest move away from Catalunya’s capital.
After struggling for game-time once more last season, Ansu has opted for a new adventure in the French top-flight.
The Spaniard has put pen to paper on a one-year loan contract with AS Monaco, through the summer of 2026.
Ansu, in turn, was officially presented in front of the media in Monaco on Thursday afternoon.
And his first press conference at the Stade Louis II gave rise to a number of interesting questions and responses alike.
Those of a Barcelona persuasion will no doubt be encouraged to hear that, despite claims to the contrary in the media, Ansu appears to bear no ill will towards the Blaugrana:
“Honestly, I think changes are for the better. Of course I’ll be here this season, but I’ll always be grateful to Barça.”
The winger continued:
“I would like to thank Barcelona. My experience at Brighton was positive, although some people think otherwise. Here, I would like to have continuity and contribute as best I can to the team.”
