Anthony Valencia and Joaquín Freitas have been named in Flamengo's squad to face Remo in the Brasileirão on Sunday, and could make their debuts.

According to Coluna Do Fla, after a full week of training the forwards showed good fitness and could be handed minutes, with this fixture viewed as a useful test amid a busy run.

Valencia arrived in Rio de Janeiro first on Sunday 30, with Freitas following early on Monday 31. Both completed medicals before signing and joining team-mates in training.

Once paperwork was cleared, the pair took part in gym work and on-pitch tactical drills. Head coach Leonardo Jardim and his staff had several days to assess their characteristics.

Valencia and Freitas have been involved regularly with Royal Antwerp in Belgium and River Plate in Argentina. They were expected to be available against Mirassol, but a delay with CBF's BID registration kept them out.

Kick-off is at 16:00 Brasília time at Estádio Mangueirão.
