The deal is understood to be worth around 5 million euros, R$ 30.08 million, for 100% of his rights. Royal Antwerp will retain 15% of any profit on a future sale.

Valencia joins to replace Plata, who was sold to Dynamo Moscow in recent days.

Developed by Independiente del Valle, Valencia was called up by Ecuador for the 2026 World Cup. He has 13 goals and seven assists for Royal Antwerp this season.

Flamengo are working against the clock to complete reinforcements. While the Brazilian window runs until 11 September, Conmebol’s registration deadline for the Libertadores quarter-finals is 4 September.
