Anton Stach has been named in Jurgen Klopp’s first Germany squad for the Nations League, the Leeds United midfielder included to face the Netherlands and Greece at home.

Germany went out in the first knockout round to Paraguay, after which Nagelsmann left. Klopp was appointed in July, and next week’s Netherlands tie will be his debut as head coach.

Stach has three senior caps and is due to meet Klopp for the first time next week. His selection in the initial group should encourage him as he targets Euro 2028, by when he will be 29.
