Arsenal are considering a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka in the summer.
The Gunners are top of the Premier League table at the moment, and they are well-stocked in their midfield areas.
However, Mikel Arteta still wants to add an experienced midfielder to their ranks, and has earmarked Goretzka as an option.

The Gunners showed interest in signing the Bayern Munich midfielder towards the end of the January window when it became clear that the German international would be leaving the club on a free transfer.
Tottenham Hotspur, who signed Joao Palhinha last summer on loan, also registered an interest in the 31-year-old midfielder.
However, Goretzka made it clear to them that he has given his word to remain at Bayern for the rest of the season and will not move in January.
The former Schalke midfielder, however, wants to play in the Premier League and does not rule out a potential move to Arsenal.
It is TRUE: Arsenal are considering bringing Leon Goretzka to London this coming summer. Remember, there was an offer from Atletico Madrid; there were negotiations in the January window. Goretzka said no. I heard he wants to move to the Premier League next season. Arsenal knocked on the door late in the winter window, but Goretzka had already made his decision to stay put for the remainder of the season. However, at this point, there were preliminary talks to say, “perhaps we’ll talk again in the summer”.
Vincent Kompany has used Goretzka frequently in the Bundesliga this season. The central midfielder has made 18 appearances in the league, 15 starts, scoring one goal.
He managed six substitute appearances in the Champions League. Interestingly, Goreztka has not made a single start since Bayern confirmed he will depart next summer.
Goreztka has scored 47 goals for the Bavarian giants and has enjoyed a successful trophy-laden career at the club.
