Benjamin André’s late winner sealed Lille’s 4-3 victory at Auxerre, the visitors surviving a fightback driven by Lassine Sinayoko’s brace.
L'Équipe reports that, after Osame Sahraoui worked a one-two with Giroud, his shot was pushed by Léon to Haraldsson, who made it 1-0 on nine minutes. A straight red for Nathan Ngoy on 38 minutes left Lille with 10, prompting Sahraoui’s half-time withdrawal so Mbemba could shore up central defence.
Sinayoko levelled with a header from a corner on 57 minutes. Auxerre soon lost Clément Akpa to a second yellow on 60. Lamine Sy’s burst and cross deflected off Perraud, then Mbemba diverted into his own net on 66 for 2-1.
Bentaleb equalised on 77 minutes after Oppegard’s clearance into the middle was punished. Another Sy surge drew a foul from Correia, and Sinayoko converted the penalty to make it 3-3 on 83. André then rose to head the decisive goal on 86.
Tempers flared late as Perraud and El-Azzouzi were both dismissed after a clash of heads on 88 minutes. André was immense in the duels, contesting 15 and winning nine, both match highs, and dominating in the air.
André was awarded 8/10, Sinayoko 7/10, with Sy and Sahraoui at 6/10. Mbemba and Oppegard received 4/10, Akpa and Perraud 3/10, while Ngoy was not rated.
