Barcelona appeals Hansi Flick's red card
FC Barcelona has decided to appeal Hansi Flick's suspension after he was sent off on Saturday during the match against Girona. The club is determined not to let him miss El Clásico.

The German coach is at risk of missing the Clásico against Real Madrid, scheduled for Sunday at the Santiago Bernabéu. Club president Joan Laporta confirmed the appeal:
We have contested both yellow cards. The referee went too far and was just waiting for a reaction to hand out the second. It will be difficult to get the suspension overturned, but we fully support Flick. I did not appreciate the referee's attitude.
Laporta also criticized the main referee, accusing him of having already penalized several of the club's key figures. El Clásico will take place on Sunday, October 26 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
