The medical and coaching staff at La Liga champions Barcelona have come together, to draw up a tailored workout plan for a member of the club’s midfield ranks.
The player in question? Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández.
Youngster Dro is of course fresh off something of a breakout summer in Catalunya’s capital.
After being afforded the chance to impress at senior level in pre-season training, the 17-year-old went on to dazzle Hansi Flick and his staff.
As much culminated in several appearances in friendly outings, with Dro having even managed to open his Blaugrana account in one such fixture.
The widespread consensus, in turn, is that the attacking midfielder/winger will soon be afforded a first-team spot on a permanent basis.
And with as much in mind, Hansi Flick and co. have put together an individualised training programme for Dro.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who report:
‘Following the plan designed by the medical team to help him gain muscle and power, the midfielder has begun specific sessions to help him strengthen his physique and become increasingly prepared for professional football.’
