Bradley Barcola has completed his move to Liverpool from Paris Saint-Germain and will wear number 29. The France international strengthens the Reds’ attack and reunites with compatriot Hugo Ekitike.
The pair know each other from the national team set-up and their stint together in Paris.
"I was able to talk to Hugo, who I met in the French team and in my old club. He was waiting for me to sign the contract, sending me messages often asking me if I was coming or not. I can't wait to get back together and be able to play with him. I already told him that it is done." He told Liverpoolfc.com.
Barcola follows a line of French forwards at Anfield, notably Nicolas Anelka and Djibril Cisse. Anelka joined on loan in January 2002 and scored against Everton, Fulham and Ipswich Town to help Liverpool finish second, while Cisse struck 24 in 79 and was key to the 2005 UEFA Champions League and 2006 FA Cup wins.
The new attacking partnership will have to wait to debut together, as Ekitike is sidelined with a torn Achilles sustained against Paris Saint-Germain in April 2026.
Following surgery, rehabilitation is expected to take eight to 10 months, with a return planned for late December 2026 or early 2027, ahead of the second half of the 2026-27 campaign.
